All bluetooth earpieces suffer from occasional break-up when on the opposite
side of your body. The closer the phone is to your body, the size of your body,
and the bluetooth version, all play a role in how much the break-up will effect
you.

Basically, water in body mass is a radio frequency absorber. The closer to your
body the radio source is, the more the radio frequencies are absorbed.
Therefore, nobody can answer your questions with absolute assurity.

That said, the Motorola H19TXT supports bluetooth 4.0. In line of sight tests,
bluetooth 4.0 can range 75 feet from the transmitting device and still receive
clear signal. This higher output level means one's body should block less of
the radio signal, so one should experience fewer choppy cross-body connection
problems compared with earlier bluetooth version devices.

As to the occasional echo and sound problems from iOS 6, I have not yet
experienced any of these problems in iOS 7, so am hopeful that Apple has
corrected this issue.
