Responding late to the 4 finger tap toward the bottom of the screen issue, this works for me most of the time, however I have noticed a few places that it does not work. For example, if I go into Messages on my iPhone, and open the very long conversation between my wife and I, when I put 4 fingers toward the bottom of the screen I often hear part of the keyboard. This mostly happens after I have received a message from her and when the virtual keyboard is showing. This is an annoying bug but not one to get real upset about, IMO. I then touch near the bottom of the screen with 4 fingers and get to the send button, where I can swipe left to the text area to write in a response. As I say though, the 4 finger tap at the bottom of the screen works most of the time for me. Running iOS 7 on an iPhone 5.
