Sieghard, as with life in general, put money aside and it won't be long
before your putting it aside again. We just spent over 450 dollars at the
Vet's office. That having been said, here we are in October already. Worst
case is I have to wait until this Christmas! <grin>I do have iOS 7 on my
iPhone 4 and yes it is a bit slow. My biggest complaint is some times when
I flick from page 1 to page 2, it will stop on page 2 and then go to page 3
causing me to cuss and flick back to page 2. Only once has it jumped back
to the next page again but sooner or later it will stay on the page I
wanted. If that's the worst of it, I can live with it until a fix comes
down the road.

If your iPhone 4 works, does what you want and if you are happy how it
does
it, then maybe you should stick with it for another year.
There is no doubt in my mind that upgrading from an iPhone 4 to a 5S is a
huge improvement and I wouldn't even think twice about it.
It will be much faster and of course you will gain SIRI, much better
pictures which makes a difference if you do OCR or object recognition and
if
you have LTE in your area you will also get much faster download speeds.
These are only a few of the advantages I can think of. If you haven't
upgraded to iOS 7 you will get a lot more of the new iOS 7 features like
activation lock, a few nice new features in the mail app, iTunes Radio if
you are into music and much more. I have a 4S right now and my 5S will be
arriving in a few days and I can see that if somebody has a 4S and is not
keen on Touch ID, the better camera and so on that there is a lot less
reason to upgrade. iOS 7 runs super well on my 4S and I trust that at
least
some of the bugs of iOS 7 will be fixed in the next 3 to 6 weeks with iOS
7.1. I did read about this volume thing on the 5S, but it sounds like
there
are fixes or at least work-arounds for that until Apple fixes that. I
think
overall the 5S has been very well received, it gets excellent reviews from
sites like Engadget, The Verge and so on and I thought from your earlier
comments about you having set aside the money already last Christmas you
would have long since gotten a 5S.

5s
and assuming of course they've had some time to live with it, I would

like to hear what they think and if they've come from an iPhone 4 to the

Hi Alan, my thought would be that it would run faster, because there's a
much faster processor in the iPhone 5s. Hope someone would correct me if I
am wrong. I have a forest right now and it is a bit sluggish with iOS 7,

I think with 5S it would be faster because it has the a seven processor.
