My iPhone 5S will arrive by Thursday. I don't plan to box it up and return it if I can replicate the issues, but I'll certainly be disappointed. I suspect that this will not mess up blindness specific navigation apps too much, because I don't think they tend to rely on the compass. I suspect Apple may tweak future batches of the iPhone 5S so that the motion sensors work as expected, but this of course means that millions of units which don't meet specs will be in circulation.
