I didn't understand where the original problem was, so I was talking
about getting from your first home page to your next. I wasn't talking
about getting past your lock screen, which is now where I understand the
announcement occurs.

I'm not sure if it's any different on an iPad or not, but on an iPhone, you
can just do a three finger swipe from right to left to get to your second
page. You should also see an item at the bottom, right above the dock, that
says something like 1 of 2 pages, adjustable item. If you double tap this,
it'll take you to your second page.
