First you want to reset your iPod. this is in the general settings. It says all
kinds of scary things about losing all your data, but you’ll get it back from
your backup. Once you restart the ipod, you’ll hear a bunch of greetings in
different languages. find the unlock area in the usual place and activate it.
Now, you’ll get a dialog asking if you want to set your device up as a new one
or from a backup. If you have your iphone backed up on iCloud, you can use this
backup. If you have it on your computer, you’ll have to connect your iPod and
back up this way. Once you have the data on it, it will restore your settings
as a part of the process. Then there will be a “get started” button and
everything should be as it is on the iphone.
