The problem where the iPhone says locked twice when you lock it or it locks itself after the timeout period started with IOS 7.0.3, but the problem where the iPhone will announce locked for no apparent reason after some period of time has been around since IOS 7, at least according to my experience and reports on list.

Hello Esther et al,

I, too, have experienced this phenomenon.

I strongly suspect that this has something to do with the way the device is
refreshing either its WiFi or cell connection.

Hi, Neal,

I also have noticed this. I'd have the phone locked for some time and out
of the blue, I'll hear the message "screen locked" when I haven't used it
for a while. Glad I'm not the only one. Smiles!

But occasionally, I will be sitting here with the phone locked an hour or so after I have used it and it will once again say Locked. I have heard no notifications that would cause the phone to do anything but stay in
locked mode. Has anyone else had this issue?
