Hi Theresa and Ari, I have purchased the "Do It Right" app but have not tried it yet. There is an interesting little twist with the lower case y. As Theresa mentioned, there are two lines that join. The line or branch on the right has an angle to it. It slants a little from the upper right to the lower left. When the left branch or line is joined, it has a slight angle up and to the left from the right line or branch. It could look similar to a lower case v tilted to the right for the top portion of the y. The tail of the y coming from the right line or branch usually extend past the left side of the line on the left side of the y.
I think there is definitely a learning curve with the handwriting feature. I am still able to handwrite checks and I am struggling a little with getting the hang of the handwriting feature.
