Another way to describe the lower case y in a really simplified way would be to
say that it is sort of like a lower case x but missing the bottom right branch.

The lower case x is just a diagonal line from top left to bottom right and
another diagonal line from top right to bottom left. The two lines cross each
other in the middle.

So the lower case y is the same basic shape but without the single branch in
the bottom right section of the x.

Does this make sense?

Hi Theresa and Ari,

I have purchased the "Do It Right" app but have not tried it yet. There is
an interesting little twist with the lower case y. As Theresa mentioned,
there are two lines that join. The line or branch on the right has an angle
to it. It slants a little from the upper right to the lower left. When the
left branch or line is joined, it has a slight angle up and to the left from
the right line or branch. It could look similar to a lower case v tilted to
the right for the top portion of the y. The tail of the y coming from the
right line or branch usually extend past the left side of the line on the
left side of the y.

I think there is definitely a learning curve with the handwriting feature. I
am still able to handwrite checks and I am struggling a little with getting
the hang of the handwriting feature.

Good luck,
