Hello,

Although I didn't lose any function when my prone began to behave that way, it
was the battery level that was affected. I am running an iPhone 4 and what
seemed to fix the automatic restart was to perform a hard reset by pressing
down the home button with the power button on the top right. I had this problem
about 2-3 weeks ago and it seemed to help for now. One more comment. In
10/2012, I was still on the Apple Care warrenty and I needed to trade back in
the original iPhone 4 because the automatic restart of the phone would not
clear or reset. I only mention this because you may need to make a jhic to the
Apple Store. HTH

Best,
Eileen
