Hi Mary, I hadn't seen any replies to your note. I have not found a way either. When I know a reply is going to include a very long conversation I've started to do a select all, then delete before writing my reply. Though, I have to admit, most of the time I just reply.
If anyone discovers a way to do this, it would be nice to know.
