The way I do it on my iPhone 4s with iOS 7.0.4 he is while on the list of the emails or should I say the inbox. I simply swipe down with one finger and then you will have the options of more or delete or trash or archive depending on the you email service that you're using. Then you simply double tap on whichever action you want. This method deletes one email at a time but it is pretty efficient.
