well weighing in i have been a sports fan for over 50 years.
have watched and listened to both tv and radio. while i will agree you
do get plays on tv and buck and akemen do probably one of the best jobs,
their is something special about hearing a radio broadcast.
especially if one has grown up in a particular town and has a fondness for
a special broadcaster for instance vin skully.

Doesn't Tunein/Westwood One stream the playoffs for free? I still have
Sirius, so I can get the Packers feed through that. If I can find it on
Tunein, I will probably take that route though because it's easier than

Actually, I didn't pay $45; I paid $29.99 for Season Plus which included
everything through the post-season. This was for the NFL audiopass. My
only real gripe is that postgame shows get cut off now where you used to
be able to listen to the whole thing and yet if you go to the actual
radio station online you still get the announcement that this is not
being streamed right now. I live in Wisconsin and have adopted the
Packers but my first team is the Seahawks and I never get to listen to
the whole postgame any more!

You're pretty much on track there. The NFL like Major League Baseball
has really begun to put the clamps on stations as far as their
streaiming of games go. I know that our FM station in our cluster is
an affiliate of the Tennessee Titans &, we're told all the time, how,
we have to make sure that the live stream is cut off & alternate
programming on the stream, etc. You're also starting to find this to
be much more an issue with College sports as well with most all of the
Colleges either having IMG or Learfield as their programming heads
these days. The NFL such as does Major League Baseball wants to make
sure that if you want to listen to games, you're going to have to pay
them before you do it.
