Hi,

This isn’t necessarily true.  In app purchases are also charged to your method 
of payment associated with your Apple ID.  So for example, if the app you have 
requires a subscription, and one of the options to purchase a subscription is 
via an in app purchase like MLB at bat for example, your card will be charged 
thats associated with your iTunes account.
