Thanks for taking the time to write that out. The tutorials make sense now, but as I play an actual game I find myself getting lost. Here's an example of a game I'm playing against the Medium Marge AI: I tried to make the word 'cone". E is in a2, C is in b2, N is in c3, and O is in d2. I tapped all four, in order as you told me on Twitter, and the game said it was "moving tiles", then that it could not make the word. What happened? No tiles are locked, so what is it trying to move things for? Why would making the word fail since all four are touching?
On a side note, what visually denotes a locked tile? I am trying to show my mother, who loves word games, this app. She is not sure what I mean by "locked" and is also not sure why some tiles are darker colors than others.
