Craig, I use an iPhone 5. Two text editing apps that work well for me are: Elements and Write2. Elements works great because it has Text Expander integration, and it also allows me to use markdown syntax. Write2 is great because it is a simple text editor. Both of these apps do sync with dropbox, so you will be good to go. As a side note: elements is a paid app, but I am not sure about Write2.
