In case nobody is able to suggest something to fix this, you might want to
write to

to see what they say. What you describe in the following message makes me
think you have an unusual problem. Usually, when a book gets to about 85
per cent (I gather that it actually is downloading and being processed
faster than the download meter is running), it usually gives a chime sound,
then says the download is complete with an okay button. You say it gives an
error message before it ever gets to this point. I thought you were meaning
that the downloading and processing completed successfully, but it then gave
an error message saying you are not authorized to play this book when you
try to play it, which is another problem that has cropped up occasionally.
If you write to bardmobile support, and they can figure it out, let us know
the resolution.

I did keep the iPhone app in the foreground. As near as I can tell, the
files never completely downloaded. Shortly before a given file would have
finished, when the progress bar was at over 90%, a dialog box popped say Ong
that the file was not extractrmed and giving me the option to retry or
cancel. Retry would restart a fruitless download. Cancel would remove the
title from the wish list entirely.
