Now, that is interesting. You mean it takes two gig of space to extract a
book? I just did an experiment. I downloaded a book both onto my hard drive,
and onto my phone, extracting both. The extracted version on my hard drive was
around 106 meg, The extracted version on my phone took up about the same
space, once it was extracted. These books seem to take up about 10 or 11 meg
per hour of reading time. If it takes two gig of free space to do the
extracting, then deletes what it doesn't need, that is amazing! I never would
have guessed that.

I am curious: Was it somebody from your library, or the support staff at the
library of congress who solved it for you, or did you figure it out yourself?
I am glad it works now. Thanks for letting us know the solution.

The solution was that I didn't have enough space on my iPhone. Apparently,
2GB is not enough to download all but the smallest books. So, I dumped a
couple videos and , Voila. I had space for one book. Time for an iPHone 5S.

    Guys,
I just downloaded the BARD mobile app and tried to added two books to my
wish list. When I downloaded the first one, I was told that I failed to
extract the file. Are there certain books that can be downloaded to an IOS
device? The system requirements for both books mentioned needing either a
digital talking book player a computer with a web connection. No reference at
all to IOS. What's the deal?
