Quite easy if you search the list archives. I've sent instructions about using SiriusXm on the iPhone a few times on the list, but don't have time right now to unearch what I sent.
In a nutshell: the five buttons on the bottom can be labeled with the labeling utility in IOS 5 and above. The left is categories, Channels, Favorites, On-Demand, Download, and if you flick to the next page with a three finger swipe left, you will see a sixth button on the right which is the Settings area for the SXM app. If you select the channels button, put your rotor on Headings. You can then navigate the different categories in that way (pop, rock, rap, country, christian, talk, sports, play-by-play, etc.) Within each category you can flick right to go through the channels. It doesn't show channel numbers, but it will show the last song that so you can tell what you want. Also, if you are listening to a channel, you can hit the More Actions button and open up MySxm which allows you to customize each channel. You can then either listen to the live (broadcast) channel or choose MySxm. Example: on the Sixties channel, you can customize the three sliders that vary your music: variety-to-more-popular; Rock-to-Motown; and slower-faster-tempo.
