Hello, Eric. I was in your position a few weeks ago. I decided on my usual solution to a question: read a book. I read _The Huffington Post Complete Guide to Blogging_. It has information about setting up a blog, but the best content is information about the various topics bloggers choose. Examples of good blog posts are included. Blogging isn't just about technical issues.
