For really good results, you need some way of holding your iPhone steady while you take the picture, and some way of ensuring that you have sufficient light to take a good picture. The StandScan Pro, foldaway portable scan box is a very useful piece of equipment. It folds flat and will fit into a document folder and has 15 LEDs to light it inside. It costs around $30.
