Hi, with GV Connect you can make calls via 3g or wi-fi, but only if you
set your options to use Google Talk and if you have the Talkatone app
installed and configured. However that portion will be changing in May
this year. if you set GV connect to use your allowed forwarding phones
for the phone call, that will still work from what I know. It's how I
use it as well. SMS won't be changing either.

Hi all. If you are a GV Connect fan as I am, or if you are looking for a
Google Voice app which works well and even better than Google's own app,
then you might consider GV Connect. I've written many times before about
this great app. I'd like to write yet again to say that the developer and I
have had a great dialog recently regarding some weirdness where voice over
is concerned in the latest update. One of the issues is that now when you
open an SMS conversation, it's very verbose. This is especially true if you
are using Braille. So, he's going to shorten that. There are other things
coming down the line to make the app even better, but I mainly wanted to
point out that it's because of this kind of developer feedback which helps
make an already awesome app even awesomer if that's a word.
