No, I'm talking about being able to look up track names for commercial
Cd's that I've downloaded from places I probably Shouldn't. I expect to
get a knock on the door from the Apple police within half an hour.
Cheers

Hi,
If you rip a commercial CD, iTunes can usually look up the track names. With
homemade CDs, however, it generally can't. Alex, when you say it can look up
tracks, are you talking about looking up track names for commercial CDs?
Best,
Anna

Without tags, all your music would have titles like Track 1 and Track 2. I
should think you would want them to have album title, track title, track
number, and artist so you'll know what they are and albums will play in order.
Anna, that is a valid point. My CDs are pretty much home brew, that is,
compilations of stuff I have either gotten from the internet or recorded from
services such as Pandora or Sirius.
Thanks for the response.
