I agree about talkatone, never could trust it with text alerts. However on the small occasion I need it to make a gv call, it works nicely via the gv interface. All that is going away later this year though. GV Connect will still be able to send and receive texts though, and I've never had trouble with that when I used it as my primary texting solution. Right now I'm jailbroken so I use something else, but I know it's there when I need it.
