Thanks Richard, yes the IPod Touch 4 doesn't have IOS 7.1 it is IOS 6.1.6 I am not sure, but I am sure, the latest. I shall try this. I like my battery to last lonb, that's why. I use IPod Touch very much than the I Phone since it has 32 GB memory space. I use Victor reader stream for my internet radio since it has WiFi connection, I store all my Epub files, Audio books, Braille files and Microsoft documents and note pad text files. Even VR Stream 503 has 32 GB memory space, this is why I baught I Phone 16 GB, also this itself cost me a fortune to buy in India. Thanks for help. Cheers Ruby

Once you have the app switcher open, Double Tap and hold on an app in the app switcher like you were going to move an icon. After you hear the tri-tones, then it should say to double tap to delete the app. That means it will delete it from the app switcher, not delete it from the device. Double-tap the home button and use the three finger swipe up to close the aps out of the app switcher.
