Hi Steve. What happens if I am playing with you and when I take my turn
you are sleeping? Should I wait for you to wake up and go about your
normal life and then take your turn after, or should you wake up
immediately to take your turn so I don't have to wait so long? <smile>.
Please don't take this as sarcasm, but as thinking of it from the other
way around. When you play a game like Dice World, you will play against
real people who have real lives and who might live in a different part
of the world as yourself. So, to minimize the long wait times if that's
not what you want to do, then you might consider only playing with
people in your same time zone, but even then you have the real life
factor to deal with. There are times when I go through my turns in the
morning before I go to work, or while I'm on my way to a client's home.
So it can vary. There are times when I'm bored at night and take a few
turns before going to bed. Other times I go a couple of days without
taking my turn. You have up to 5 days to take your turn before you
forfeit. So, I think this is generous. There have been a few players who
have stopped playing with me because I sometimes take 1 or 2 days to
respond, but that is ok because I can't keep up with more than 25 games
at the same time if players want me to take my turn just as soon as they
do. There are times when I have an hour to kill and will play 3 or 4
games in a row with one player and ignore the rest of the games because
I know that he/she is online at that time and it's like we are playing
face to face. You just gotta find what works right for you is all.
Hope this helps.

Hi folks. Ok so I've got Dice World and I've set up some Farkle games,
but what I don't quite get is the time difference between turns? I
currently have 3 games active, but it can take 9 hours or more for the
other person to take their turn!!! Now is this because they are waiting
that long? or is it something to do with the game sending that
information to that player?
Anyway, it's a fun little game, but I can't see myself playing it, if it
takes over a week to play a game lol! Advice please! Cheers Steve.
