Thanks for that. I didn’t think to look there. Interestingly, my battery
percentage is set to off, whatever that means.

OK,

I just checked under Settings, General, usage.

My usage shows 11 hours 13 minutes, and standby of 2 days and one hour.

Now, to me that is very good.

This is on the 5s from Consumer Cellular.

I'll check my work iPhone the nex time I run it down low.

This phone was at 9'% when I plugged it in today.

Richard, You could be right. I suppose I could try and reset my batter gauge by
letting it run all the way down. Trouble is, once it’s below about 20%, it is
really not all that stable. So, I would have to just leave it for a few days
and make sure it was down all the way. I wonder if there is another way to
reset the gauge. I know these batteries are not like NIMH batteries in terms of
battery memory, but I also think I know that running them down periodically is
good for them. Any battery experts want to chime in here?

I wonder if part of the issue is that the battery charge report is not
completely accurate, and even though it says 100 '% it may not be.

I have not had much battery drain issue on my 5s, but I always leave it charge
a good while after it says 100'% on AC power.

Now, my work iPhone 5, did seem to be draining faster, but then I found all
these apps that were now using location services after the update. I've turned
all those off except the GPS apps. So we shall see.

Hi all. I have been noticing slightly different battery life with the new OS. I
have not changed any settings from before my update. After the update, on a day
with normal use, which is not very heavy, I might be down 20%.

The other night, I plugged my phone into my computer and forgot to unplug it
when I turned off the computer. My USB charges when the computer is not on. I
noticed it the next day before I rebooted and unplugged it. In the last three
days I have lost about 7% per day with relatively the same usage. Now, I’m not
saying that this is how you solve the problem. I have also had it plugged into
the wall at times, but I have never left it connected that long after it
finished charging.

So, either something was downloaded to help this while it was connected to the
wall, or it is because I left it in longer than normal. Or, it could be
absolutely none of these. 7% a day is just about what I would normally get
before the update. Go figure.
