Hello there,
I know that since I O S version 7X has been with us, containers have been
present not only on iPads but also on iPhones. For the most part, I try and
ignore them. However, often, I find, their presence means you can no longer
flick from the top to the bottom of the screen. Quite often, indeed, the centre
of the screen can only be read if focus is brought to it first.

Just now I was playing with Prizmo. I had received, as an attachment, an image
PDF. So, I exported it to Prizmo in order to OC are it. Unfortunately, every
time I tried to activate the "recognise" button, I couldn't activate it. It was
only when I discovered that you had to double tap Within this small area at
the top of the screen where the recognise button actually is that I could make
it work. Same goes for the buttons at the bottom of the screen. Thus, it seems
that voice-over has to work in a different way, to wit: having moved the
cursor to the required button, you now have to tap in that precise location.
You can't just double tap anywhere any longer. I know that this only applies to
certain apps/webpages, but I feel it is a backward step for us. There may be a
very good reason why containers have been added to the iPhone, and I do
understand the usefulness on a larger screen such as that of an iPad or mini,
but, I think, they only complicate things on the iPhone. Have I missed their
usefulness perhaps? Can someone put me right?

Sandy
