PhoneDrive is still a sandboxed app which means whatever you upload to it is available in the PhoneDrive app but you can’t, for example, upload music via PhoneDrive which then is available to your Music app on the iPhone. You can play the music with the PhoneDrive app since it has a built-in music player, but really so does Dropbox. Here is what is said about uploading files in the PhoneDrive app description: - EASY FILE UPLOAD: Drag and drop files upload via your PC/Mac web browser or USB via iTunes. So yes, you can make all sorts of files available to PhoneDrive, it supports images, PDF, text files, Word documents, music files etc. but they are only available to PhoneDrive and as it says, if you connect your iPhone to the computer it is “USB via iTunes” which means you have to use iTunes File Sharing. There just is no way to access the iPhone’s internal folder structure via Windows Explorer and I can’t see this changing any time soon.
