Hello, Richard.

I suggest starting with Lire. Its interface is uncluttered, and its
settings are laid out well and have very understandable descriptions.
The added fee for caching large numbers of articles has been dropped.
The caching options allow the user to turn off automatic caching and
also for disabling the downloading of images, very helpful for
VoiceOver users. It's true that you cannot read through a list of,
say, fifty articles and then delete this list before proceeding to the
next bunch of articles, but if you wish, you can flick down with one
finger and delete each article separately if you decide after reading
its title that you don't want to read it. The fact that Lire now
supports Feedly means you can have a truly cross-platform experience.
Be aware that if you leave caching turned on, Lire may take a very
long time to cache a bunch of articles.

I wouldn't at all dismiss Newsify. However, its settings are more
sophisticated and have descriptions that don't give adequate clues as
to their functions. It's a very rich reader, though, and should you
wish to graduate to it, you may well be pleased with it. VoiceOver
support is very good. It supports stand-alone mode and also a Feedly
account.

Feeddler (note the double D in "Feeddler" is also an excellent app.
Its main advantage is that it supports synching with a number of RSS
services: Bazqux, The Old Reader, FeedHQ, the AOL Reader, and
Inoreader. However, it does not support Feedly. VoiceOversupport is
very good.

Any more questions, feel free to ask.

Craig
