Hi, this is correct. It's actually a gmail feature if you want to all it
a feature. *smile*. One way you can bypass this is by creating both a
label and filter from the gmail web site. The label is like a folder and
the filter tells gmail to give all the messages matching the filter the
label and of course you can do other things. Here is what I do from the
gmail site, which by the way is http://mail.google.com/mail/h for the
basic one which is easier.
1. Create a label called viphone.
2. Create a filter which matches only on the to: field which contains
[email protected].
3. The actions for the label are 2 of them. First, skip the inbox,
second apply the label viphone.
The result is that on any computer, mac, iphone, tablet, ETC, which uses
imap, the folder viphone will be created and all mail, including my own
messages to the list, will be placed there and avoid my inbox.
Hope that helps.

Mark,
You must have Outlook set to copy yourself because the list does not send you
your own messages.
Raul or Cara could confirm this, but I'm positive that is the case.

Hello Everyone,
I have discovered something a little strange, at least, to me it is strange.
Whenever I send a message to this list from my Desktop PC using Outlook, I
receive my message, as apparently all of you do, in my Inbox as I would
expect. In fact, when I then go to my iPhone and open the Mail app, I see
the message, from myself, there, as well.
However, when I either reply or compose a new message to this list, using
the exact same credentials, of course, apparently, you all can see them but
I cannot see it on my iPHone. Consequently, when I open up Outlook on my
PC, I cannot see the message in that Inbox, either.
As an example, the only way I knew that my recent test message was received
by the list, at first, was because I saw Anna's kind reply in my Inbox but I
did not see my test message, as a stand alone item.
Now when I go online and check the Groups messages, I can see my posts.
Question, why is it when I send anything to this list from my iPHone mail
app can I not see my posts?
Has anyone experienced this phenomenon?
I seem to remember something similar when sending posts from the Mac, also.
Any and all replies most welcome.
Mark
