Alex and All, I'd also encourage you to direct any developers here to this list as well, since this is always a fairly immediate interactive discussion.
There are quite a few developers who are on this list who have made accessible apps, so this is an excellent opportunity for developers who have popular apps in this community to help other developers by sharing their knowledge and expertise in their work making their apps accessible to us. Thanks All and have a great night! Sadly, it isn't good news. Here you go: Brad Porter, May 14 04:00 PM: Hi Mehgcap, Thanks for your email! I'm afraid that, due to the heavily visual nature of The Walk, we are not currently able to make it fully accessible. As such, I cannot currently recommend that you purchase the app if you are planning to use it exclusively with VoiceOver. I'm sorry that I could not be of more assistance in this case. All the best, Brad So there you have it. I told him I'd be happy to answer questions, and if they need more feedback they should post on applevis.com. Again, please contact them if this app is something you'd be interested in using. Essentially, you have to solve a mystery, collect items, and complete levels, all done by physically walking around. You can pick up things as you move, unlock special items, and more. It sounds like a great app for those who walk with any frequency, but it is not accessible. What gets me is that this company's other app, Zombies Run, was re-designed to be accessible. As I recall, they made a big deal about it, and even posted a blog all about what they learned while adding Voiceover compatibility. ZR is also visual, yet it is usable and this new app is not? Had they said it is being worked on, or planned for a future upgrade, i'd be okay. But to basically say it isn't an option is beyond the pale for me. -- Have a great day, Alex Hall mehg...@icloud.com -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list.
