A Bluetooth headset or speaker cutting out is typically more a result of its connection to the phone. If, for example, you put on a Bluetooth headset and then clamp your phone under your armpit most of them cut out because your body, which is 70% water, blocks the signal. It's a good idea to know if the Bluetooth modem in the headset is on the left or on the right and then to keep your phone on the same side. Bluetooth 3.0 and 4.0 devices are to some degree dealing with this, but it could still be an issue.
