Hi DJ, Only way to delete/remove ringtones from the phone is by setting iTunes to "Sync Selected Tones" and then to check those you want and uncheck those you don't want. I, for example, have some ringtones which use Christmas songs so whenever Christmas is over I just uncheck them, sync my phone and they are gone. If I want them back I go back to the Tones section of my device, put a checkmark beside them and once again sync. It's pretty easy to do, but as with most media you need iTunes to manage it efficiently.
