Subject: Re: Kobo and Braille
After reading this post, I realized I hadn't used kobo for a long
time and definitely not since I got my braille display. I
decided to try it on my ipad and was able to sign in and download
some of my books. But I am having a problem. Both braille and
speech keep jumping around with page 1 of 3 or page 2 of 3 or
page 3 of 3 being announced no matter what screen I'm in. When I
get into a book I just get started reading and suddenly I hear
page 1 of 3 or one of the other page options, seems to cycle
between 1 2 and 3, and so I can't continue reading though I can
see bits and pieces of the book. I do remember there used to be
something complicated that needed to be done to set kobo up to be
accessible and I wonder if this is the problem. I'm sure this
has been discussed and posted before but help would be
appreciated as it has been a very long time since I used it.

I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf.
I got crumpled wads of tear-stained paper thrown in the trash!
Then God gave me a new heart and life:
His joy for my despairing tears!
And now, every day:
"This I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness."

Hello everyone,
I've been using Kobo for several years now for buying and
reading e-books.. I like the fact that it stops reading at the
end of a chapter, so if I fall asleep, I don't have so far to go
back to find my place.
Until two days ago, I didn't have a Braille display that worked
with my iPhone. My Braillino is supposed to work, but it
doesn't.
Last Friday, I received a Focus 14 Blue which paired at the
first attempt with my iPhone, and which works brilliantly for
reading my Kobo books. It's actually easier to select a book
with the Focus rather than with the touch screen.
Cheers,
Anne
