Hi, Joseph,

Unfortunately, except for specific file types that are proprietary, I don't 
think you'll be able to do file associations with specific apps.

Two download apps I can think of off the top of my head are Filer and 
Downloads. Dropbox will also give you options for opening specific files.

I'm not familiar with the apps you mention, so perhaps someone else can comment 
on those.
