Did you ever sync your apps with iTunes? If you didn't then iTunes wouldn't have a record as to which apps you had and how you had arranged them with respect to folders and homescreen layout. Hi all, I did an encrypted backup of my IPhone 4S and now have a new 5S. I did a restore from encrypted backup and it did save all of my settings and everything is exactly as it was on my 4S except that it didn't download my apps. I did the encrypted backup because it was said on this list that it would save my passwords so that I didn't have to relog in to apps for which I have a subscription or need to log in with a password. Did I misunderstand something? I assumed that my apps would be downloaded to my phone. Do I need to go into purchased apps and redownload them individually and then the benefits of the encrypted backup will be realized in terms of not having to log into those apps with my passwords?
