Donna, So long as you feel sure and confident that you are holding the phone correctly I can only make the following few suggestions that might redress the problem. Firstly, activate the flash in TextGrabber so that it comes on once you open the app. Secondly, empty out your app switcher. Thirdly, practice with a sheet of printed text that you know to be clear, well printed, and up the right way. Lastly, delete the app and reinstall it.
Perhaps one or all of these measures might improve things for you? If not, come back and we'll think again.
