Since I don't have any idea where you're located it's hard to say what will
work best for you. Off the top of my head, I'd first recommend the White and
Yellow Pages app; I use it regularly to locate all kinds of businesses. The
app has several tabs to choose from at the bottom of the screen. Select the
Popular Tab, then double-tap on the Taxi button. If you have location services
turned on you'll instantly get a list of local cab companies, each of which can
be called right from the app, which is very cool. you could also try the Taxi
Magic app, which is supposed to be easy for locating available cabs in your
area, and, if you don't want to worry about having cash on hand, the app will
see to it that your cabbie gets paid using your debit or credit card. Lastly,
I'd recommend the lyft app, which I've used a coufle of times here in los
Angeles. I've found that booking rides is a snap, it works out to be cheaper
than using a regular cab, and the drivers have been superfriendly. lyft, too,
is cashless and walletless, so even if I lost my wallet or didn't have cash on
me I could still travel. Hope this helps. If you try any or all of these
options, post to the list and tell us how things work out for you.
