I am intrigued by the solution for this, but not getting the descriptions given.
Can one change a setting or do a single button action to achieve this? I find it necessary to keep the phone quiet when getting on a bus and have to take it away from face while dealing with the ticket/pass machine. I've had cases where once in speaker mode, it wouldn't shut up at all and a full bus heard everything.
