I have some little motorola hx550 single bluetooth earphones that have several
options for how you have them on or in your ear. This doesn't work for everyone
but I can comfortably hang one on an ear without having a bud in my ear or
anything and it can be quickly opened and positioned and taken off my ear and
closed. So I don't consider it inconvenient. These are old earphones so I'm not
necessarily thinking people would flock to get them but they work so well for
me that I just keep using them. They can be paired and connected to two phones
at a time but I find this doesn't work quite as well for me. My point isn't
about my particular choice of earphone; I'm sure there are plenty of solutions
like that out there that don't isolate you from or muffle your environment
significantly while using them and aren't bulky or time-consuming to connect
and disconnect.
