Sorry, I'm not following. I don't sync apps, because I kept seeing apps in 
iTunes that I'd deleted from my device and no longer wanted, so I only use 
iTunes to manage music. What does an iTunes library have to do with my phone? I 
thought iTunes would just copy an image of the iPhone's memory, essentially, 
then restore that image when I want to restore. Again, how does what is in some 
iTunes library have any bearing on what data is copied from my phone during a 
backup? Why would syncing and backing up be related at all, given that they 
are, at least in my mind, two completely unrelated activities? Sorry if I sound 
dense, but this just isn't making sense to me.
