Quick Type for a blind user is of limited value. As you type 3 suggested words appear above the virtual keyboard. If you want to know if one of the words is one you want you have to touch above the keyboard to find that area where the words are in, then slide left or right or swipe left or right to check all 3 words. If one of them is the word you want you would double tap it. It's OK for long words, but if it's just a 3 or 4 letter word I might as well type it out because it would take me just as long or longer to check if the word is there and then to double tap it. For a sighted person this is an awesome feature, they type and see what 3 words appear and they can quickly touch one to insert it into the text. I don't know if Apple could make the quick type feature accessible in some way, but if anything I am thinking it would have to be something like how Fleksy does it. You type and maybe the first word is spoken automatically by Voiceover and you could do a 2-finger swipe down to check the other 2 words and just double tap anywhere to put the word in if it's there. I still find dictation to be the fastest and most efficient way to write longer messages or emails.

I can't wait to use quicktype and all that. I'll love being able to type on the touch screen and have only one device to have to worry about. We shouldn't have to buy a braille display or bluetooth keyboard to be proficient typists on iOS.
