Thisis quite aside from what you want to put that much pressure on it for in the first place; don't they understand the basics of - Look after your kit!
The inside pocket of a jacket is good enough for me, where those big folding leather wallets used to live. For me, it would still be at risk from the crash test - I'm still not perfect - but don't skittle lamp posts often now. The statistics are good though, we know now they are not as delicate as the media made out; just normal "Common" sense and care is still enough.
