I got that message when I reinstalled it also.  Still no voice over prompt
no noise.

I think this might just be another bug in iOS 8.  I read that 
this one also
affects sighted users and it seems that some apps just randomly 
can't access
the camera even though they are allowed to.  The good news is 
that if this is
not isolated to Voiceover then a fix will probably be more likely 
to come
sooner rather than later.
I would try the following:

1.  Turn off Camera in Privacy for Light Detector, then delete 
the app.
2.  Throw everything out of the app switcher and reboot your 
phone, i.e.  turn
it off completely, wait 30 seconds and turn it on again.
3.  Download the app again from the App Store and hopefully when 
you open it
the first time you will be prompted to allow the app to use the 
camera and
it will then work.

Money Reader is fine for me, but Light Detector is not.  Thanks
for the suggestion, but it was already allowed to use the camera.
And, when I turned
off allowing Light Detector to use the camera and then opened
that app again, it just closed, even when I tried with a restart
of the phone.

Both Money Reader and Light Detector work, maybe it's just that
they are not
allowed to use the Camera and of course they have to use the
camera in order
to work.  Go to Settings, Privacy and Camera, then check if they
are allowed
to u se the camera.

Hello folks.  I usually don't post on
here much.  However, I am very displeased with Apple.  For a
company that is
very Reputable, I expect a lot more out of apple.  I am extremely
disappointed.  I just might let them know this.  First, when a
person dials a
number manually with voice-over, the numbers stick.  I don't know
if this is
fixed in IOS 8.02 or not.  Second, I use my blue tooth keyboard a
lot.  Now
my
key board does not type or activate items with Voice-over.  I can
navigate
on
the screen.  But not type or activate items.  On previous updates
the issues
mentioned above didn't exist.  I took my iPhone to the Apple
store and they
couldn't figure out the issue.  I am not mad at the technicians
at the
store.
I am upset with the developers of Apple.  They should know
better.  Also
what's this crap of them updating the software and then having
the cell
phone service not working.  If apple keeps this bull crap going
on they will
lose customer such as myself who have grown to love Apple
products.  I might
email apple and let them know this.  If Apple continues to do
foolish things
like this on their updates, then I will switch to a droid.  What
a sad day
that would be.  What do you all think?
