On my iPhone 5, using cellular data, I'm running iOS 8.1.2. When checking in the settings for software update, it does not show what version I'm running or whether there is an update or not. Swiping to the right, I hear "general back button", "software update heading", and then the bonk sound. I find this strange. I wouldn't think that WiFi is needed to check for updates. --- Be positive!
