Not sure if everyone has one of these stores in your area, but my wife and I went to Sam's Club this weekend and we saw an OtterBox case for $30. My wife was looking for one for her 5C and they only had one color scheme, but that's half the usual cost so we got it. Now she doesn't fret when she drops her phone on the floor, awesome. I got my OtterBox at the AT&T store for around $54 with tax. A little expensive, but after all, I paid over $300 for the phone itself. I haven't had to get phone insurance or Apple Care since I've had my phones in OtterBox cases. One more thing: when we traded in my old iPhone 5, and the clerk took it out of its OtterBox case, he remarked, "Wow, this looks like a brand new phone!" I said that I had put it in the case soon after getting the phone and never had to remove it in the 2 years that I was using the phone.
