Eventually, these clamps can loosen, scratching the glass of the I device. Ballistic sandwiches the I device between the upper and lower parts of the case so the I device is entombed into the case. It doesn’t wiggle ever and impact is absorbed by the entire case. The iPhone has taken drops and bangs over the two years I have owned it. Yes, the case makes the iPhone bigger, but it does its job nicely. If you really want break proof protection, get a Ballistic Hard Core case. You will not be disappointed.
