Hi Brian,

If you don't have any apps open in the app switcher which have recently
played audio the 2-finger double tap should work fine. I also find that it's
rather rare that it starts audio playback and if it does another 2-finger
double tap typically stops it again. I have no problems hearing what
Voiceover says while the phone is ringing, maybe you need to turn Voiceover
volume up a bit and the ringer volume down a bit. On the other hand you can
simply silence the ringer by pressing one of the volume buttons and then
find the answer button. It is super easy to find, if your phone is locked
and starts ringing it takes up the entire bottom of the screen so all you
have to do is touch the home key and slide your finger straight up maybe
half an inch or so and you'll be right on it, I can reliably answer my phone
even with Voiceover off by sliding across the screen just above the home
button.

Regards,
Sieghard

Subject: Two Finger Double Tap and Answering the Phone

Hey all,

Curious to hear what others have been doing as since it has been well
documented that Apple broke the two finer double tap for answering calls and
playing music, I am curious as to what others are doing to answer calls. I
used to use the two finger double tap, and cannot hear VoiceOver reading the
screen to me over my ringtone. Therefore I have been missing every call.
What are others doing is there a simple way to know and find where the
answer button is?

Has anyone else also discovered that the two finger double tap which I was
able to use in IOS7 to quickly start continue playing what I was playing in
Downcast does not work anymore? Not sure if this is a Downcast issue but
doubt it considering the two finger double tap no longer pauses audio when
previewing any song in the iTunes store there is no way to stop the audio
you are previewing as you have to let it just play out.

Having IOS8 is like going back to a first generation product as so much that
used to work does not. I have learned my lesson trusting Apple and updates
and accessibility.
