Thanks for this. I always thought pressing the volume buttons sent a call to 
VoiceMail. Yes, my ring tone is loud, as you need a loud ring tone on the 
streets of NYC. I almost always have Downcast in the app switcher which I have 
learned is quite the battery drain, and even with Downcast in the app switcher 
in IOS 8 the two finger double tap rarely restarts what I was last playing, and 
just discovered the two finger double tap does not stop audio in the iTunes 
store last night when I was checking something out. 

Thanks again for the call answering info will give it a try.
